Welcome to Silver Lake for the 2008 Season

The Silver Lake Association (SLA) publishes two newsletters  each year. This website is another attempt by your  Board of  Directors to keep you informed about current events and happenings at Silver Lake. Information on major issues is updated as necessary. Your Tract Directors are all volunteers and are willing and able to be of assistance to you. Most of the  Board members serve on one or more of the Standing and Ad-Hoc Committees and  have been actively involved in helping improve your stay at Silver Lake.  Even over the winter months when many of you were elsewhere, members of some of these committees were busy carrying out their responsibilities for you.

Over the past few years SLA has sponsored boating safety courses and presented informational and educational public meetings on water quality, the New York State environmental process for permitting wind turbines and a lecture on wind energy by the well-known environmentalist Jon Boone. Each year we also sponsor the "Homeowners of Distinction Award" and the "Ring of Fire" on July 3rd at 9:30 PM as well as the Howard Benedict Memorial Boat Parade on July 4th (rain date July 5th) at 2:00 PM. .

We encourage you to become active in your Association and renew your $10 family membership in June when your Tract Director stops by to deliver your SLA Directory and to sell flares for the “Ring of Fire”. Your membership is important to the Association as the Board plans our budget and priorities for the year.

The Board hopes that your stay at Silver Lake is special.

                                                        Ruth K. Lavin, President SLA
